GET GOING ON GROWING

The HARC Board of Directors has approved plans to expand our program in our current location and to satellite locations in the Houston area. This will enable us to provide service for small groups of children (around 20), in multiple locations versus a large group, in one location. An added bonus is less time in Houston’s Friday evening traffic for our families. Anyone that knows a family who has a child with mental and/or physical handicaps is aware of the extra time and effort required for that family to make it through each day. These families need respite. Respite is relaxation, a short time of rest, and a time to renew.

HARC is taking a ‘leap of faith’ that we will succeed in our plans to grow our services. The number one priority right now is financial, along with the need for volunteers, paid caregivers and help getting the word out to families who need our services. Please see the below links if you are able to help us in our mission. This is a very ambitious undertaking for our small organization, and we sincerely appreciate your support.

Parking Lot Closed at HARC this Friday, May 16 th. Please use the parking lot on the north side of the church. Also, we plan to have a moon walk for the children; weather permitting.

Best wishes,
Charlotte Lund
Executive Director
