There are two very specific ways that people can assist HARC in fulfilling its mission of giving support to children and youth with mentally handicapping conditions and their families.

First and most importantly is through kids. Everyone knows someone who could be helped through the programs that HARC offers. We work with parents of special kids through work, school, clubs, churches. Maybe we even have kids with special needs ourselves. With each child that becomes part of HARC's programs, HARC grows stronger.

Then, secondly, as a non-profit organization, HARC relies on grants and funding to keep the costs low for the families. Individual and corporate donations to HARC are greatly appreciated.

Individual donations of any amount can be made simply by sending a check to Houston Area Respite Center, 6856 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77074. All donations are tax deductible. Donations may also be made on-line via PayPal. Click the "make an online donation" button above to help.

Finally, if you would like to volunteer as a HARC caregiver, we would be excited to have you as part of our family. Volunteers need to pass a background check, and need to have a loving heart. If you wish to be part of HARC, call the HARC offices at 713-271-6001.
